2009 year in review

January 2009
In a great start to 2009, the Compassion House Foundation partnered with Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield to raise $40,000.

May 2009
About 500 runners and walkers participated in the third annual Sorrentino's Dash'n for Compassion on May 9, 2009. The half marathon and 10 km fun run was held in partnership with the Running Room.

June 2009

The third annual guest retreat was held in Leduc in partnership with Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada. The retreat is a great opportunity for former Sorrentino's Compassion House guests to reconnect with each other while focussing on post-treatment issues.

Rycroft Golf Tournament is the Compassion House Foundation's only northern based fund raiser. On June 20, golfers came out to support the Foundation and raised $16,000.

August 2009
We welcomed our 400th new guest through the doors of Sorrentino's Compassion House.

October 2009
The 13th annual Syncrude presents Fashion with Compassion on Oct. 15 was a huge success! Guests enjoyed a fabulous fashion show, wonderful auction/raffle prizes and a delicious meal. The luncheon and dinner events raised over $200,000 in support of Sorrentino's Compassion House. Thank you!
